Our program brings together Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy under one roof to ensure you receive comprehensive, collaborative and holistic care following a concussion. Counselling may also be incorporated into your care plan when clinically indicated to support emotional well-being and recovery. If your assessment indicates a need for additional support, we are happy to collaborate with your physician, optometrist, or other allied health practitioners to ensure coordinated care.

Our team approach - Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapists and occupational therapists create a personalized plan to support your full recovery and help you get back to the life you love. This interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to address the physical, cognitive and emotional impacts of concussion, helping to restore physical, vestibular, oculomotor and autonomic functions to help you move, balance, exercise and function better.
Comprehensive assessments include:
- Cervical (neck) function
- Vestibular and oculomotor screening
- Balance and proprioception
- Exercise tolerance
Treatment may include:
- Cervical and musculoskeletal rehabilitation (manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, postural retraining and exercise program)
- Cervicogenic headache and neck pain management
- Sub-symptom threshold aerobic exercise and individualized return-to-activity/sport planning
- Autonomic reconditioning and symptom management
Education on pacing, posture, ergonomics and safe activity progression
Collaboration:
- Coordination with Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Kinesiologist, Physician, or Optometrist, or other allied health practitioners, when indicated.

- Psychosocial support and stress management
- Cognitive and functional strategy training
- Non-pharmacological pain management and environmental modifications
- Graded exposure to cognitive, visual and auditory demands
- Addressing ocular and vestibular barriers impacting daily activities
- Routine building and independence strategies
- Graded return to work, school, and community roles

Contact us to schedule comprehensive initial assessments with both our Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist as soon as you have a confirmed or suspected concussion.
Complete your online questionnaires
Before your first appointment, we’ll send you short online forms to help us understand your current symptoms and concerns.
Attend your assessments
Each assessment is completed separately. Our team will then prepare a detailed report outlining the findings and a personalized treatment plan.
