Infinity Health is Canada’s largest First Nations-owned provider of rehabilitation services. We are currently seeking Occupational Therapists to join our British Columbia team. Our practice model is specifically designed to prioritize clinical intervention and functional outcomes over administrative and insurance-related burdens.
While we maintain professional relationships with traditional fee-payers such as ICBC, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and WorkSafeBC (WCB), our practice is distinguished by our proprietary clinical programming. CLINICAL SCOPE & ENVIRONMENT

- Community & Home-Based Care: Delivering services within the client’s natural environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered and in good standing (or eligible for registration) with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).

Job Description – Medical Office Assistant
Infinity Health is seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. In this role you’ll play a key part in keeping our office running smoothly by providing support to our healthcare team and ensuring an organized, efficient environment. You will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting clinical staff, and managing electronic medical records. This role will be to support a family doctor.
Role Responsibilities
- Greet clients in a welcoming and respectful manner.
- Answering and screening phone calls, prioritizing and responding appropriately.
- Maintain and update EMR records, process patient intake forms, and maintain accurate health records.
- Manage billing, payments, and insurance documentation.
- Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
Qualifications
- Must obtain a Medical Office Assistant certification
- Experience in a medical office/clinic preferred
- Comfortable with EMR system and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Highly organized, adaptable and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
- CPR/First Aid training is an asset

Position Summary
We are opening a new medical clinic located at 75 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1P 0E6, with operations scheduled to commence on April 1, 2026. We require ten (10) Family Physicians to provide family medicine services at this location upon opening. In this role, you will deliver compassionate, holistic family medicine services to a rostered and walk-in patient population. These are permanent, full-time positions.
Successful candidates will be expected to perform all duties associated with family care services, including:
- Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to individuals across all age groups, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries.
- Conduct patient evaluations, including physical examinations, routine health assessments, and follow-up care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe and administer medications or therapies, and perform minor medical procedures within the scope of family practice.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging, and other investigations, and consult with other medical professionals as needed to evaluate patient health.
- Counsel patients and families on preventive care and wellness through patient education, vaccinations, lifestyle counselling and health promotion strategies.
- Collect and review medical information from patients, families, or other healthcare providers to ensure informed clinical decision-making
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant medical documentation in accordance with clinic protocols and regulatory body requirements.
- All duties will be performed in English.
Family Physicians will be expected to work full-time (a minimum of 35 hours per week). Physicians will have flexibility in determining their working hours within the clinic’s operational timeframe of 8:00am to 8:00pm, seven days per week, and will participate in a coordinated rotation for walk-in clinic services to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be fee-for-service, in accordance with the physician’s billing under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), in accordance with the Schedule of Benefits and policies established by the Ontario Ministry of Health. Anticipated total annual compensation based on this model and practice size is approximately CAD$345,000 annually.Competitive rate of overhead charged.
In addition to fee-for-service earnings, physicians will be eligible to participate in profit-sharing after three (3) months of employment, based on the clinic’s net revenue and mutually agreed allocation formula.
Benefits package including medical, paramedical, dental and pharmaceutical will be offered, with employer paying 50% of the premium.
We will also provide support for interprovincial licensing transitions.
Qualifications/Requirements
The following are required:
- Medical Degree
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Prior to starting practice, required to obtain medicolegal insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association, or with another carrier at your expense.
- Letter of good standing from previous employer.
- Must provide Criminal Record Check, Child and Adult Abuse Check prior to starting practice.
- A 3-year Return of Service Agreement is required.
